2One for Sorrow, Two for Joy and The Lost Domain have major, major problems in terms of accuracy
in bird behavior or biology, to the point where anyone knowledgeable about birds would probably not enjoy them.
3Pork and Others is particularly grim and depressing, and, while well-written, is not recommended for children.
4Sandeagozu gets a recommendation with qualifications-- it is unnecessarily gruesome in areas, but still
deserves notice as being one of the few books to feature snakes as sympathetic characters.
5Clan Apis and Pride of Baghdad are Graphic Novels.
6Although it is recommended because it is well written and, IMO, an important work in anthropomorphic literature,
The Book of Sorrows is a very, very gruesome and depressing book. I recommend it with the warning that it absolutely
is not for children, and adults should be warned that reading it is not a pleasant experience, but more like an ordeal to
be endured.
