1The book Bambi bears little resemblance to the Disney movie, and should not be read to young children.

2Although it is recommended because it is well written and, IMO, an important work in anthropomorphic literature,

The Book of Sorrows is a very, very gruesome and depressing book.  I recommend it with the warning that it absolutely

is not for children, and adults should be warned that reading it is not a pleasant experience, but more like an ordeal to

be endured.
